As a Process Technologist I track and manage value engineering projects; to ensure that best practices are used. I work cross functionally with a multitude of teams, while improving efficiency and/or improving product quality. There is a consistent strive to improve our processes through Continuous improvement.
What are the top 3 characteristics you need to be good at your job:
Why did you decide to pursue a career in food?
I decided to pursue a career in food because of the wide diversity of careers within the industry. There are jobs in Quality, R&D, and Operations to name a few. I also knew there would be great opportunities. We cannot live without food; therefore there will also be a demand.
What would be your best 3 advice tips for new grads starting out in their career:
- Find a job you love and are passionate about.
- Build a network; this will become increasing important as your career progresses.
- Never stop learning, growing and developing.
